With over 40 years’ experience in real estate, Tony is considered one of the industry’s most respected property executives. Partnership in the PortNordica business has allowed Tony to shift focus from that of sales and marketing of property to be actively involved and invested as the owner, lender and provider of capital.
PortNordica has to date invested $400 million of equity across 60 projects and Tony, in his own capacity, ranks as PortNordica’s 2nd largest investor.
In 1997, Tony acquired the Laing + Simmons Group from the publicly listed ASX company Mulpha Australia Ltd. This acquisition included some 50 real estate franchise offices in Metropolitan Sydney. The Laing + Simmons Group was sold in 2013 to a Canberra based property group.
In 1987 he started the franchise business Laing + Simmons Commercial as the working principal, managing over 70 staff members until he sold the business to global real estate group Cushman & Wakefield in 2008. Tony remained on as managing director of Cushman & Wakefield until 2012.

Ole-Thomas, aka Ole, holds an Executive MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management – University of NSW and University of Sydney as well as a BBA from the Norwegian School of Management.
In 1992, Ole commenced with Wilhelmsen Lines (later Wallenius Wilhelmsen), a leading international shipping company, and held various roles in accounting, marketing and management in Oslo, Sydney and Antwerp before been appointed Managing Director of Wilhelmsen Investments in Australia.
During his 6-year tenure as Managing Director of Wilhelmsen Investments, Ole was responsible for the investment holding company, 4 operating businesses and 180 staff. His role included managing a portfolio of properties, property development assets and equities. Ole’s expertise is diverse with emphasis on acquisitions, lending, turning around under-performing businesses and/or property assets coupled with vast experience in M&A.
Since establishing PortNordica more than 10 years ago Ole’s main specialty at present is to assist developers with funding solutions for their projects with residual stock loans, mezzanine finance facilities or preferred equity positions. These solutions as well as wholesale and mortgage investments are packaged and structured to deliver a sensible investment product for PortNordica’s investors.
In line with the strong co-investment model adopted by PortNordica, Ole in his own capacity ranks as the 3rd largest investor.

Phil has over 30 years experience at the highest levels in a wide range of large and complex corporate, project, infrastructure and structured finance transactions, gained through working in major Australian financial institutions.
As well as the creation and coordination of the complex financial analysis models that underlie these transactions, Phil also has significant experience in the structuring and optimisation of such transactions, and has been responsible for all aspects of financial deal generation and implementation.
Phil is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia and has sat on industry body advisory committees.

Sandy He

Sandy is the Finance Manager at PortNordica and brings with her experience in taxation, accounting, business advisory and SMSFs.
Sandy is a chartered accountant with over 12 years’ experience working in both chartered and commercial roles.
Outside of work Sandy enjoys dancing both socially and competitively.

Tim specialises in the acquisition and management of debt-related investments. Tim has organised the acquisition of more than $2bn in residential mortgage commission portfolios and $50m in unsecured MIS loans.
